Brushless Operation of Wound-Rotor Synchronous Machine Based on Sub-Harmonic Excitation Technique Using Multi-Pole Stator Windings

چکیده

This paper presents a topology for the brushless operation of wound-rotor synchronous machine based on subharmonic excitation technique by using two sets multi-pole windings armature as well rotor. The consist four-pole three-phase main winding and two-pole single-phase additional winding, responsible generation fundamental components magnetomotive force (MMF), respectively. rotor contains field winding. From generated air gap MMF, is induction in which feeds DC to through rotating rectifier without need brushes. Then, interaction magnetic from produces torque. proposed analyzed 2D finite element analysis (FEM). analysis, component MMF verified, helps achieving machine. Furthermore, performance compared with existing dual terms current due induction, output torque, torque ripples, efficiency.
